چکیده
An agro-waste/wood-dust of Dalbergia sisoo (Sisau)derived activated carbons have been applied as a potential adsorbent to remove anionic dye “Eosin Y” from aqueous solution. The were synthesized by carbonization technique. chemical activation was done impregnating with three different agents, i.e. acid, base and salt, namely phosphoric acid (H3PO4) , potassium hydroxide (KOH) sodium carbonate (Na2CO3). prepared characterized various instrumental techniques like TGA/DSC, XRD, Raman, FTIR, SEM BET. BET analysis gave the evidence micropores mesopores in samples. H3PO4 carbon sample revealed higher surface area than KOH Na2CO3 amorphous nature observed on basis XRD Raman spectroscopy adsorption performed varying concentration, pH dose. maximum percent removal (Dal-A) for Eosin Y found be 99.9 % at an solution 20ppm, 3.5, dose 30 mg 5 min time compared carbons; Dal-B Dal-C respectively. This study proved highly successful addressing local problem wastewater pollution garment textile industrial effluents using locally available wood dust sisoo. Acidic environment more conducive dye.

متن کاملRemoval of naphthalene from aqueous solution on chemically modified activated carbons.
The aim of this work was to correlate the textural and chemical features of carbonaceous adsorbents with the adsorption capacity of naphthalene from aqueous phase, at the concentration in which this compound is usually found in wastewater from coke ovens. The study reveals that the adsorption capacity in different carbon materials depends not only on the textural characteristics of the material...
